SPP-2
Other

Sapper wire is a specialized type of cable product designed for blasting operations.
It transmits impulses of direct current up to 1 kV and alternating current up to 380 V. The wire is used in field conditions to supply electrical signals to the corresponding devices, usually EDP electric detonators using explosive machines, such as KPM and their modern analogues.
It is also used to power mechanisms and devices located far from sources of electrical energy.
The SPP-2 wire consists of:
- a copper multi-wire conductive core of class 4 flexibility with a nominal cross-section of 0.5 mm2
- insulation made of a composition of light-stabilized low-pressure polyethylene (HDPE) with a nominal thickness of 0.65 mm
Insulated cores twisted with a pitch of no more than 100 mm. 700 km of wire have been supplied.
